Archtop Fiber Ready for Liftoff in Warwick: Dozens of Miles of Fiber Already Built on WVT Network, WVT Fiber Holds Open House and Ribbon-Cutting 970 300 Archtop Fiber

We’re coming in HOT in Warwick Valley, wasting no time to make good on our promise of upgrading the WVT network. It’s been a busy start to the year that shows no signs of stopping!

65 Miles of Fiber Construction Complete

Following our acquisition of Warwick Valley Telephone early this month, our crews immediately began work to upgrade WVT’s network to 100% fiber. So far, they have completed 65 miles of fiber construction on the existing WVT network, and we will begin rolling out service featuring multi-gig Internet speeds in the coming weeks. The work includes over-lashing fiber onto WVT’s existing lines and making preparations to power up our state-of-the-art XGS-PON network, bringing the fastest, most reliable, environmentally friendly and affordable Internet access to the area. In fact, our 100%-fiber, multi-gig service features up to 10Gbps upload and download speeds.

This is an incredible accomplishment in such a short amount of time, and we couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and dedication our team put into this achievement. Of course, there’s still more to do, but we are well on our way to completing the buildout of our fiber network across the entire WVT footprint

Time to Celebrate! Archtop Hosts Open House and Ribbon-Cutting Celebration

But wait, there’s more! To reflect the exciting changes coming to the company, we rebranded Warwick Valley Telephone to WVT Fiber, in homage to both the brand’s long heritage and its ongoing transformation. As we continue WVT’s tradition of dedicated customer service and strong presence in the local community, we were thrilled to host a few local celebrations in Warwick.

The rebranded WVT Fiber reopened the doors to its headquarters on Warwick’s Main Street and welcomed members of the community to come in and meet the local team, along with members of Archtop’s leadership team. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about our fiber build, view maps detailing our plans, as well as enjoy refreshments and enter to win raffle prizes. We also welcomed some VIPs for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the company’s rebirth and bright new future. Members of the Archtop Fiber team were joined by the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, Michael Newhard, Mayor of the Village of Warwick, and Jesse Dwyer, Town of Warwick Supervisor, to mark the occasion. In honor of the special event, the teams also received a commemorative certificate of recognition on behalf of New York Senator James Skoufis and the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce.

“This tremendous community support reinforces why we do what we do, and we can’t thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us enough,” said Lenny Higgins, President and COO of Archtop Fiber.

The open house and ribbon-cutting were a blast, but we weren’t quite finished yet. Afterward, we hosted a gathering for the WVT Fiber and Archtop teams to celebrate and get to know each other better. We’re all in this together, and we are thrilled to move forward with our new team members as we bring 100%-fiber, ultra-fast Internet to the WVT service area and beyond.
