Why is Hancock Telephone changing to Archtop Fiber?
As part of our commitment to enhancing your experience, we are rebranding Hancock Telephone/Fiber to Archtop Fiber. While the name is changing, we are still dedicated to providing innovative solutions while honoring the legacy of a company that has proudly served our community for over 100 years.
Why is my bill changing?
To bring you more enhanced features, like online and paperless billing, online account viewing and ordering; a new billing platform is required.
Will my bill increase?
No.
How do I enroll in paperless billing?
You will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to enroll.
How do I view my bill online?
Once you enroll, you will be able to log into the customer care portal to view and pay your bill.
Will I get faster Internet?
Yes! Buckle up and get ready for 2, 5, and 8 Gig fiber Internet as we upgrade our network. Coming soon!
How can I order services online?
You can log into the customer care portal to make changes to your account.
Will local Hancock employees still service my account?
Yes, you can continue to expect the same friendly faces and dedicated support you’ve come to know and trust.
Will I still get a paper bill?
Yes, you can continue to expect the same friendly faces and dedicated support you’ve come to know and trust.
Will it cost me to receive a paper bill?
No, but you will have the option to help save a tree AND save on your monthly bill with Paperless Billing and Autopay. No worries, you can access your monthly bill online.
What will my bill look like?
We have posted a sample bill so you can see what the new format will look like. (Note: We are also planning to include a sample bill/bill comparison in the Jan 2025 billing)
Is my landline phone service changing?
No, but you will have the option of moving over to our new VOIP phone service for $24.99 per month with unlimited nationwide calling.
What’s the difference between VOIP digital phone and traditional landline?
Our new Digital VOIP Phone service includes unlimited nationwide calling. It converts voice into digital packets and transmits them over the internet and requires a UPS to maintain connection during a power outage. Our traditional landline phone service charges per minute for long distance usage and uses analog signals transmitted through copper wires and does not require a power source if the phone is corded. There are benefits to both, so speak with your local customer service for additional information.
Will you still offer Video Services?
As of January 6, 2025, we will no longer be signing up new video customers. Any sales made before that date will still be processed, and we’ll continue to provide support for our current video customers. However, moving forward, we’ve made the decision to limit the growth of this product.
